We want to feel positive but our feelings are too connected to our market business
and these are really tough times.
We know this is a period of unusually low consumer demand and you can’t take it
personally but .....
Customers
are not buying. They are spooked by lots of things - trade wars, recession, and
climate fears - this is a global malaise.
And
then we make contact with a customer - we engage, parry, joke, discuss, analyse,
and deal. They leave happy with their purchase, and like the Toyota ad, we can
declare “I’m still feeling it.”
There
is nothing like a bit of business to improve the mood.
What
is the point of this little collection of thoughts? Sometimes it helps to speak
out amongst friends. You might like to do the same.
