I am a
Specialty Merchandise Trader and know little about food retailing but I do know
that squeeze testing of Avocados is considered a problem in the industry.
By the time
the 50th customer has squeezed the fruit it is likely to have
sustained some damage. Our picture shows an attempt to make it easier for
customers by categorising Avocados according to their stage of development –
ready to eat or good to store for a few days.
To a
non-food retailer that makes a lot of sense, but we would love an expert
opinion.
