Translating Trader-speak.

Australians are well known for using phrases that outsiders may generally not understand. An example might be - “Fair suck of the sauce bottle” meaning getting a fair share.

On a similar vein, a trader has suggested that some things traders say actually mean something else and there is a common theme in his examples -

“Management need to advertise this market more”.
TRANSLATION: Business is bad.

“My neighbour is creeping over the line and his music is too loud.”
TRANSLATION: Business is really bad.

“I think it is time we extended our trading hours.”
TRANSLATION: Business is really, really bad.
