A mysterious black invitation
in a black envelope has heralded the inaugural Queen Victoria Market Trader
Awards Night on Monday 31st. October.
Details of the awards are
being kept under wraps although there are a number of long term traders who have made significant contributions to QVM and could get a gong.
The official blurb says “The
evening will celebrate our past and present traders, the rich history of our
market, and our exciting future.” Many
noteworthy traders have been part of QVM and our rich history is an often
neglected aspect for current traders trying to concentrate on day to day
business.
With a complimentary three
course meal, drinks, and live music, who wouldn’t want to be part of this event. The possibility of finding out more about our future and the opportunity to socialise with fellow traders in a different environment are just part of the attraction. And as one trader said - I just want to see how traders scrub up in evening wear. Expect some surprises.
