We understand that the Munro Family completed negotiations
to sell their parcel of land on the corner of Therry and Queen Streets to the
City of Melbourne despite receiving higher bids from other developers.
Councillor Stephen Mayne has praised the family for putting the council, the
traders, and the community ahead of a few million dollars.
