Visitors to Canberra’s annual flower festival, Floriade,
have embraced free wi-fi in an un-precendented way. Social media promotion by
the visitors has created an ever-growing online audience as amateur
photographers and flower-lovers showcase their experience using free wi-fi.
It is believed that the wi-fi facility has enhanced Floriade
and Canberra as great Australian tourist destinations and is a lesson in how to
promote facilities in a cost effective way.
