Monday 23rd December was a special trading day
for the top end of QVM. Not all traders took advantage of the opportunity to
trade despite the offer of free rent. Basically we were accommodating the
market’s decision to open the food areas of the market for the expected last
minute Christmas food rush.
There were plenty of empty spaces in the top end but the
crowd was considerable (see photo) and those who traded seemed pleased with the results. Here
are some comments from traders –
“It was a good day – equal to a Friday”
“I covered the rent straight away.” – (very funny)
“I had a really good day” – giftware trader.
