Kookai Success Story – Fashion retailer, Kookai,
attributes its success in a difficult
trading environment to establishing a niche market. The company has two major
differences from its competitors – firstly, they manufacture each item of
clothing individually. They do not use mass cutting or assembly so variety is a
key component. Secondly, they are vertically integrated – they make clothes for
themselves and no one else.
