Promotional
innovation is one thing but asking your customer to wee on your catalogue is
surely one retailer going too far.
Ikea invites
customers who might be pregnant (add discrimination against men to this
complaint) to wee on a page of their catalogue to reveal a special offer. The page
advertises baby cribs and according to a promotional video, if the customer is
pregnant, a discounted price appears. The customer simply takes the catalogue
into their nearest store.
Three things -
