Something Market Traders And Brothel Owners Have In Common

A report on the ABC this week said that brothel owners were concerned that online dating apps like Tinder were killing their business. One manager said that business was down 40% on last year and said the cause was apps where people can access sex in a completely new way.

The disruption of online activity is no stranger to retailers (Amazon), taxi drivers (Uber), and accommodation houses (Air BNB).

According to this report brothels have closed down and those remaining have been forced to introduce Tradie Nights and Sausage Sizzles to attract customers.

One of the oldest professions in the world is not immune from internet disruption, and brothels, just like retailers, are having to find new ways to operate their businesses.
