Traders Adhering To Rules Or Not

Bringing your storage box into the aisles before closing time is frowned upon at The Queen Vic Market. Traders are obliged to give their neighbours every opportunity to trade up until closing time without having the pedestrian aisles blocked by storage boxes.

And It must be said that most of the time that obligation is adhered to but AFL Grand Final Day puts a severe strain on trader’s good intentions. We have many committed AFL supporters amongst our traders and getting home to watch the biggest game of the year is a very strong incentive to pack early on Grand Final Saturday.

We decided to conduct a little photographic record of a few aisles in the top end with about 15 minutes to go before the 3:00pm closing time on yesterday’s Grand Final Saturday.

Here is the view down J Shed – the aisle is clear of boxes.

And a view down K Shed –

And looking down Rear K/Rear L Shed – oops!

Well, 2 out of 3 ain’t bad.
