The
owner of a new cashless cafe in Brisbane's CBD says there are real advantages to
accepting only card or mobile phone payments.
Pablo
& Rustys Coffee Roasters have 4 stores in Sydney and now one in Brisbane. A
quick Google search identifies them as a trendy up-market cafe with some
innovative ideas. When discussing the major problems of cafe operation, they
identified cash as one of the biggest headaches. Cash errors at the till were a
problem, cashing up was time wasting, and then there were trips to the bank and
security issues. No cash has also reduced their insurance premium.
Not
every business will be ready for cashless operation but this one says the
response from customers has been good and their operation has become more
efficient.
