Victoria Market Pharmacy has turned a new government provision on
pharmacy prescriptions into a marketing strategy that will benefit many of their customers.
The Federal Government has increased co-payments for concessional
card holders to $6.20 in 2016 and for general patients to $38.30. However, for
the first time, the government is allowing pharmacies to discount the
co-payments by up to $1.00.
Cheryl Lim from Victoria Market Pharmacy has advised us that they
will be applying the full $1.00 discount to their customers (including traders)
so $6.20 becomes $5.20 and $38.30 becomes $37.30. Further details are available
from Cheryl.
