New Markets

New Market Criticised By Residents -
A new "design and gourmet food market" has been called a "flea market" by local residents who are concerned at the impact on their nearby upmarket apartments.
The market is proposed for the forecourt of the Australian Centre for Contemporary Arts on Southbank and would involve 80 or so traders every Saturday. Council is currently considering the application to establish the market.
