And There Was Light

Our poetic heading follows on from last weeks "Let There Be Light" post which outlined the process between traders and management to gain improvements in the inadequate lighting levels in the top end.

We reported that skylights had been extended at the bottom end of K Shed to allow more natural light into adjacent stalls. We can now report that two high luminance lights have been installed at the bottom end of RK and RL which have significantly improved the powered lighting option. Light readings from these new lights are many times those of the old fittings.

Our issue with lighting requires dual action to increase access to natural light, addressing any heat issues that may arise, and installing improved powered lights that fill the gap when natural light is not available. Rolling out these new lights to the whole of the top end would appear to offer an answer to our powered lighting issue.

Managements response to addressing the lighting issue has been very positive and we look forward to working with them as the process is extended to the whole of the top end.We believe that should happen sooner rather than later.
