The Victorian State Government and Melbourne City Council budgets have been released in the past couple of days.
The Victorian State Government budget made no mention of QVM (not that anything was necessarily expected) and the Melbourne City Council has dedicated $1.28 million for Queen Victoria Market renewal, replacement and improvement works.
The MCC did identify a particular renewal item as one of its Key Strategic Activities for 2013-14- “$0.10 million has been provided to undertake community and trader engagement and consultation on the vision and the strategy for the Queen Victoria Market precinct renewal.”
