It always seemed that the top end of the QVM missed out on
entertainment with buskers generally being located in Queen St. or more
recently String Bean Alley.
Busking can be an important ingredient in creating a “buzz”
for shoppers and it is certainly a key for the Suzuki Night Market which is a
big crowd drawer. The introduction of buskers into the top end of the day
market this week is a welcome initiative.
Apparently not all traders were enthusiastic about this
form of entertainment but we have a number of reports of traders who felt the
