"I would like to comment about the ridiculous prices that all our food shops are charging for their coffee, soft drinks, corn, sandwiches etc. In many cases you can get better prices in the Sheraton Hotel. I hear many times comments from consumer that they were shocked to be asked $3.50 for a bottle of water, $6.50 for a cup of corn, $5 for a can of coke, and the latest one is, $14.00 for a schnitzel sandwich. These food shops must be feeling great each time they get away with ripping off the consumers. But they forget that the party will not last forever. The consumer is getting smarter by the minute and at the end, their "rip-off system" will only turn to bite them. No one likes to go back to a shop or "market" when they feel that they have been ripped off. ARIEL GABIZON"
Thanks for your input Ariel. How do other traders (and food providers) feel about this subject?
On a related subject we have a link to a customers review of food at the market back in May which recently featured in the QVM social network feeds (Facebook & Twitter). This correspondent reviewed take away food at the market and La Cantina and the Spanish Donut Van received their commendation. - http://www.milkbarmag.com/2011/05/02/a-royal-feast/
