Traders who use Australia Post for deliveries may be interested to learn that the APO are expanding delivery options for their customers in response to a significant increase in online generated parcel traffic.
Whilst home delivery is still the most common delivery option, many customers find it difficult to be at home when required and are seeking more flexibility. Australia Post are setting up a network of pickup points which will offer extended trading hours including weekend pickups in some areas.
There will be an initial 100 sites set up across Australia plus a network of 24hr lockers in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Customers will receive an SMS advising them of the location of their pickup point as part of the streamlining process.
